Features
Blotta is a unique and ground-breaking soil nutrient flux agent which works in the soil to release locked up phosphate and other essential nutrients for uptake by the roots of crop plants.
Blotta:
-
Significantly improves P availability
-
Releases trace elements essential for plant growth. e.g. copper, zinc, manganese, molybdenum etc.
-
Can be applied with pre-em residuals
-
Can be applied with a conventional crop sprayer – no need for extra costly equipment BLOTTA can provide benefits to crops grown on any P index soils
-
Easily tank mixed and compatible with many other products

Application
WINTER CEREALS:
Rate: 2L/ha in 150-200L of water.
Timing: Pre-drilling to BBCH 29 (end of tillering) Do not apply in frost or to cold soils.
SPRING CEREALS:
Rate: 2L/ha in 150-200L of water.
Timing: Pre-drilling to BBCH 29 (end of tillering) Do not apply after soils begin to dry.
POTATOES(at planting):
Rate: 2-4L/ha in 200-400L of water.
Timing: Apply within the potato ridges.
Low to medium calcareous soil types – 2.0 L/ha Apply without Silwet L-77.
High calcareous soil situations – 4.0 L/ha Apply without Silwet L-77.
POTATOES(over ridges):
Rate: 4L/ha in 200L of water.
Timing: At planting to BBCH 07 (beginning of stem formation) Apply to beds with Silwet L-77 at 0.05% v/v
OILSEED RAPE:
Rate: 2L/ha in 150-200L of water.
Timing: Pre-drilling to BBCH 14 (4 leaves unfolded)
MAIZE:
Rate: 2L/ha in 200L of water.
Timing: Pre-drilling to BBCH 14 (4 leaves unfolded)
SUGAR BEET:
Rate: 4L/ha in 200L of water.
Timing: Pre-drilling to BBCH14
LEAF VEGETABLES:
Rate: 4L/ha in 200L of water.
Timing: Pre-drilling to BBCH 14 (4th true leaf unfolded)
ROOT VEGETABLES:
Rate: 4L/ha in 200L of water.
Timing: Pre-drilling to BBCH 14 (4th true leaf unfolded)
Application advice
Tank mix sequence: First
Nozzle type: Medium/course or as dictated by partner pesticide Adjuvant choice: Organosilicone based wetter e.g. Silwet L-77
-
Apply to soils with adequate moisture for plant growth
-
Should be applied before a period of active growth so the crop can utilise the available nutrition
-
Apply to soils with temperatures where phosphate is more readily available
-
Can be applied before or during rainfall
-
Target the crop’s rooting zone – the use of an organosilicone wetter will help improve penetration through the soil profile
-
Do not apply BLOTTA to drying soils as evaporation of soil moisture prevents BLOTTA from moving to the crops rooting zone
